Where is everyone??? And why is this show not popular enough to get the blood in this fandom pumping?

Maybe it's because this show has just started this year? Or maybe it's because Hasbro didn't put it on TV outside Canada?
I think to advertise this show is the main reason why has Hasbro put the Hanazuki short film in the My Little Pony movie premiere
sorry for poor English
I guess that makes sense, it's just that the show is just a few months old and I had the unfortunate circumstance that I came to the party late. I checked the timeline in reddit and in here and the entire fanbase seemed to vanished by October. A bit sad that the show couldn't retain the fanbase longer than that.
I'd guess it's because of the lack of promotions, and the lackluster animation that probably drives most hardcore western animation fans away. Another problem would be how most episodes are released in batches, so it only has a small window of fame. At best, it would be like some Netflix shows wherein it would be talked about for a week or two while everyone is watching, then die down a bit.
Next season is is happening 2018 though, and the theatrical short has well-budgeted animation, hopefully it will catch some eyes!
The theatrical short caught at least one pair of eyes: mine. I'd never heard about the show until I saw that short, and now I've watched all the episodes, am in the process of watching through them a second time, and have started a YouTube fan channel.
I think in hindsight, releasing the episodes nine at a time was probably a mistake for the reason DeltaTee mentioned. I'm guessing next season they will start releasing them weekly, and hopefully that will get people talking about the show more and exposing more people to it.
